The following journals are particularlyopen to contributions of a multidisciplinary, empirical or theoretical nature in the field of French Studies.

French Cultural Studies (UK) publishes work in French and in English on all aspects of modern French culture, with prominence given to contributions of an empirical nature in the fields of cinema, television, the press, visual arts and popular culture. It is published three times a year and devotes some issues to special topics such as the recent The Ethnology of Modern France. Contemporary French Civilization. The subtitle gives the distinctive focus: "An Interdisciplinary Journal devoted to the Study of French speaking cultures Throughout the World". Besides articles, CFC publishes a broad range of book reviews (edited by AFCS member Margaret Collin Weiss) and features interviews (Claude 1,dvi-Strauss, in the Winter-Spring 1995 issue). Modern and Contemporary France (UK) is the review of the Association for the Study of Modern and Contemporary France. The ASMCF aimes to foster contacts between those working on France in all periods since 1789. It organizes meetings, seminars, and an annual conference held in the UK each September. French Historical Studies, published by Duke University Press, welcomes interdisciplinary articles that are of relevance to historians. The French Review, published by the AATF, is not only a literary forum but also welcomes civilization and cultural topics.
