<<===  During the last six years at LBI, the Foys stayed at the Ostrofsky house in Holgate, at the south end of the island.  All new housing must be built on piles because of destructive storms which occur in fall and winter.

<<===  The most exclusive houses were built along the sand dune.  The Ostrofsky house was  1/2 block inland, but had ameneties including air conditioning, which was needed for Mary's asthmatic condition.
