Foy was a caisson driver during World War I. His
discharge papers note his excellent horsemanship.
He was in charge of breaking in horses in France and

Island Sc and Camp Lejeune NC during the summer of
1945. He spent a year tour of duty in 1945-1946

College graduation. After the ceremony,
he spent several minutes speaking with Bridget Foy
about her experiences as a teacher in the South
Bronx. Rich Foy trying to listen. Mr.
Rogers, together with sociologist Jonothan Sokol, has
been active with a school very near Sacred Heart, where
Bridget taught. |
