<<===  Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Valhalla, New York was opened around the time of World War I.  The Foy sisters purchased a plot when Luke Foy died in 1920, with the understanding that any of them or any other  unmarried sisters had the right to be buried there.   Buried in this plot are:

Luke Peter Foy
Hannah Foy Anderson
Virginia McKeon Foy
Peter Joseph Foy
Cecelia Foy

<<===  The Mullin family purchased the plot directly behind the Foy plot sometime before Michael Mullin died in 1925.  They allowed Polly Goetz, a very close friend  to be buried there, as well as the Sinkos, father and mother-in-law of Agnes Gillen Sinko.

This tower was designed by James Renwick, who designed Saint Patrick's Cathedral in NYC. His rather grandiose plan for Gate of Heaven Cemetery was never completed, but the tower remains. Tom and Jane O'Grady lie about four tablets down from the tower.  John Prendergast is buried in the same area  ===>>

<<=== Frank O'Grady was the eldest son of Thomas and Jane Foy O'Grady.  He purchased this plot at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla NY when he and his wife Peggy had a stillborn child.

Thomas Morley married three times, but his wives are buried elsewhere: Calvary in Queens NY, St Raymond's in Bronx NY and Gate of Heaven, in Hanover, NJ.  He was buried in a single grave in Gate of Heaven, Valhalla NY,  so that his only daughter, Mary Foy, could visit the grave more often. ===>>

>>===  Peter and Ruth rented, and eventually purchased a large farm from a Mr. Davis,  an extensive landowner who wanted young, educated farmers to continue his farm.  St. Michael Cemetery was a small rectangle cut into the farm  near the road.  Later Peter and Ruth donated land around the original cemetery, more than doubling its size.  Standing in the cemetery are Eilelen Foy Hynes, her husband Kenny, and Peter Joseph Foy, recently of Agoura Hills CA
