This tower was designed by James Renwick, who designed Saint Patrick's Cathedral in NYC. His rather grandiose plan for Gate of Heaven Cemetery was never completed, but the tower remains. Tom and Jane O'Grady lie about four tablets down from the tower. John Prendergast is buried in the same area ===>> |

Mary Foy Long was born in New York, the daughter of Michael Foy and Mary Curran from Knockatober. She had two children: Robert and Mary Lynn. Her aunts, Tilly Foy and Delia Foy also came to the US and are buried also in Gate of Heaven. See family tree branches under early foy for further information ===>>

Thomas Morley married three times, but his wives are buried elsewhere: Calvary in Queens NY, St Raymond's in Bronx NY and Gate of Heaven, in Hanover, NJ. He was buried in a single grave in Gate of Heaven, Valhalla NY, so that his only daughter, Mary Foy, could visit the grave more often. ===>> |

On 12 July 2006 a level 2 tornado swept through Westchester and impacted Gate of Heaven Cemetery. The family tombstones remained intact, but many trees were uprooted and other tombstones were toppled. ===>> |

Michael Morley remained single, and encouraged his nephew, Michael Morley, to take over his grocery store on Lake Avenue in Yonkers. Young Michael has added a restaurant and catering business. Jack and Mike are buried in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Yonkers

The couple set up farming in Cortland NY, but soon moved to Livonia NY, south of Rochester ===>> |
The couple attended St. Michael Church. Later a new church, St. Joseph , was built in Livonia and Saint Michael Cemetery is now supervised by the new parish.===>> |
