John France to Catherine Wirtz  (incomplete)

To all whom this may concern

Whereas John France of the Town of Shawangunk in the County of Ulster and State of New York Esquire and Sarah his wife did by Indentures of Mortgage bearing date the tenth day of June one thousand eight hundred and three and for the consideration of securing th payment of the sum of one thousand dollars lawful money of the United States of America convey unto Catherine Wirtz of the Town of New Paltz in the County aforesaid

All that farm of land with the appurtenances in the Town of Shawangunk aforesaid whereon the said John France and his wife now reside lying on both sides of the Paltz River containing about two hundred and ten acres.

Now know by all Men by these presents that the said Catherine for the consideration of the sum of five dollars lawful money aforesaid for me in hand paid by the said France and his wife the Receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge and for divers other good causes and considerations me thereunto moving have and by these presents Do remise release and forever quit claim unto the said John France and his wife all my right and title what6sovere which I now have or hereafter may have by virtue of the above recited Mortgage of in and to all that part of the said Farm so mortgaged lying on the Southeasterly side of the said Paltz River with the Appurtenances.

To hold the premises above released unto the said John France and Sarah his wife their heirs and assigns to the only use and behoof of the said John France and his wife and their heirs and assigns forever containing about sixty acres to that neither sue the said Catharine nor her heirs Executors or Administrators any claim or right by Virtue of the said Mortgage on that part of the said Farm so Mortgaged lying on the Easterly side of the said Paltz River shall have, but of and from the same shall be utterly excluded and forever barred.

In Witness whereof I have hereunto interchangeably set my hand and seal this twenty fourth day of April Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and six  1806.

Be it remembered that on the twenty fourth day of April Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and six personally appeared before me Johannis Bruyn one of the Judges of the Court of Common pleas in and for said County, Jacob Wertz one of the subscribing witnesses to the above deed of quit claim who being duly sworn and is to me personally known says that he saw the above named Catharine Wirtz with whom he was well acquainted execute the said Deed as her Voluntary Act and Deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned and
