Witnesseth that the said party of the first for and consideration
of the sum of Six thousand dollars lawful money of the State of New York
to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby confessed and
acknowledged have bargained sold remised and quitclaimed; and by these
presents do bargain sell remise and quitclaim unto the said part of the
second part in his actual possession now being and to his heirs and
assigns forever
All that equal north half of all that certain farm being the
northerly part of the easterly half of Lot No 11 one of the three mile
or River lots in the North division of the patent of New Paltz
Beginning at Hudson River in the division line of lot No 11 and
Lot No 12 being the southeasterly corner of John Beavers lot and runs
thence along the division North seventy eight degrees west one hundred
and sixteen chains more or less to the northeaster of Alexander Youngs
lot thence along a line of old marked trees South seven degrees west
nineteen chains & fifty links to two stones set up together in a
tamarack swamp thence south seventy four degrees & fifty minutes
east one hundred sixteen chains to Hudson River aforesaid then up along
the same as it runs about twenty four chains to the place of beginning
containing two hundred & fifty acres more or less Together with all and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in an wise appertaining and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof; and all the estate right title interest claim or demand whatsoever of the said party of the first part either in law or equity of and to the above bargained premises with the said hereditaments and appurtenances. To have and to hold the said above described premises unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns to the sole and only proper use benefit and behoof of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever. On the twenty second day of March in the year one thousand eight
hundred seventeen before me William W. Bogardus Master in Chancery came
Mynard F V D Bogert who is the person described in and who is the
grantor to the annexed deed to me known who acknowledged to have signed
sealed and delivered the said deed for the uses and purposes therein
mentioned. And I find no
interlineations therein. A true record entered this 17th April
1817 at 3 o’clock p.m. |
