To all whom these presents shall come Greetings. I Abraham Cantine Sheriff of the county of Ulster by virtue of a writ of fieri facias to me directed and delivered tested the thirtieth day of October one thousand Eight hundred and nineteen and issued out of the Supreme Court of Judicature of the State of New York I was commanded to make or cause to be made ninety eight dollars fifty one cents out of the lands and tenements hereinafter more particularly described of and belonging to John Dickenson for his share and proportion of the taxable costs in a certain partition suit wherein John J Dumond was plaintiff and the said John Dickenson one of the defendants as by the said writ of fieri facias more fully appears And whereas after the coming to me of the said writ of fieri facias & before the return thereof I did by virtue of said writ seize and take the lands hereinafter described and have by virtue of the statutes in such case made and provided sold at public auction the lands hereinafter described to John J Dumont for the sum of Three hundred Dollars being the highest sum bid for the same Now Know Ye that I the said Sheriff aforesaid by virtue of said writ of fiero facias & of the statutes in such case made and provided in consideration of the said sum of money aforesaid to me in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Have granted bargained and sold and by these presents Do grant bargain and sell unto the said John J Dumont and to his heirs and assigns forever All the right and title of the said John Dickenson to all and singular that certain lot of land known and distinguished by lot number Ten on a map of lots made by Jacob Trimphour Junior and Benjamin Ostrander two of the commissioners appointed by the Supreme Court of Judicature aforesaid to make partition of a certain tract of land known and distinguished by lot number Nine of the Sittle Rights of the New Paltz patent situate and lying and being in the northeasterly part of the town of New Paltz of which the aforesaid lot number Ten is one of the subdivisions made by the aforesaid commissioners containing fifty seven acres more or less, reference to said maps and partition will more fully appear with the appurtenances and all the estate right title and interest which the said John Dickenson had in the said premises & lot of land aforesaid on the fifteenth day of November one thousand Eight hundred and nineteen or at any time since has or now hath To have and to hold the said land and premises and every part thereof with the appurtenances unto the said John J Dumont his heirs and assigns forever as fully and absolute as I the said Sheriff under the authority aforesaid might could or ought to sell and convey the same In Witness whereof I have here set my hand and seal the second day of February one thousand Eighteen hundred and twenty 1820 Sealed & Delivered } Ulster County } SS. On the twenty eighth
day of March one thousand eight hundred and twenty personally appeared
before me Jonathan D Ostrander Esquire to me well known who being duly
sworn deposed that Abraham Cantine to him well known as the grantor
within described executed the within Deed in his presence and
acknowledged to do so for the purposes within mentioned and that he the
said Jonathan signed the same as a subscribing witness. I allow
the within to be recorded A true record 28th March 1820 at noon. |
