newbold carriage house

The Newbold Carriage house is the principal structure remaining on the Fern Tor parcel.  It is a U-shaped building, which was converted into a residence by Dr. George T C Way (or perhaps a previously unknown tenant or owner).  Notice the brickwork in the left wing which filled in the original arch for the doorway for carriages.  The arch in the center panel was also closed off, but a bay window inserted as part of the residence.  A new door was opened at the left of the center panel.
